Parents–Teachers Meeting for First-Year Students – Department of Science & Humanities

The Department of Science and Humanities organized a Parents–Teachers Meeting for first-year students on 29 November 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The primary agenda of the meet was to discuss students’ academic progress and to highlight the various institutional initiatives planned for upskilling and overall development.

Parents appreciated the one-to-one interaction with faculty members, though many requested extended time slots for detailed discussions. They were informed about their wards’ strengths and areas for improvement, along with the support systems available to enhance overall performance. Some parents requested regular updates regarding attendance and academic activities, while others expressed concerns about difficulties faced in specific courses.

The Principal, Dr. V. M. Patil, and Dean (Academic), Dr. L. R. Somanagoudar, addressed the gathering, sharing the college’s vision for student growth and assuring continuous efforts toward strengthening academic support. The session was effectively coordinated by the Head of the Department.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, strengthening the collaboration between parents and the institution toward ensuring student success.
