🔬 National Science Day Celebration – NIRANTARA 2K26

Theme: Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat

📅 28th February 2026📍 Seminar Hall, Rural Engineering College, Hulkoti

R T E Society’s Rural Engineering College, Hulkoti, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the Department of Science & Humanities, successfully organized NIRANTARA 2K26 to celebrate National Science Day 2026.

The event was conducted with the objective of promoting scientific temperament, innovation, creativity, and recognizing the invaluable contribution of women in science toward building a developed India.

🎯 Theme Focus

This year’s theme, “Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat,” highlighted the role of women scientists—past and present—in shaping research, technology, and national development.

1️⃣ Poster / Collage Making Competition (Team Event)

Theme: Women Scientists of India – Past & Present

  • Maximum 5 members per team

  • Poster Size: Cardsheet

  • One-page A4 write-up (Names & USN mentioned)

  • Evaluation based on creativity, originality, relevance, and presentation

  • Submission Deadline: 25th February 2026

2️⃣ Essay Competition (Individual Event)

Topics:

  • Futuristic Role of Women in Building a Developed India

  • Ethical AI – Why Everybody is Talking About It

    Note:

  • Maximum 2 A4 pages

  • Name, Semester & Department mentioned at the top right corner

  • Original and thoughtful content mandatory

  • Submission Deadline: 25th February 2026

🧠 Faculty Event

Quiz Competition

Theme: Women Scientists (Past & Present) & Why Science Matters

  • Team of 6 members (Interdepartmental participation allowed)

  • Minimum 2 women participants per team

  • Registration before 25th February 2026

The quiz encouraged awareness of scientific contributions and emphasized the importance of science in societal progress.
