National Mathematics Day Celebration – 2025


The Department of Science and Humanities, Rural Engineering College, Hulkoti, celebrated National Mathematics Day on the eve of the birth anniversary of the legendary Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. The observance was organized to pay tribute to his extraordinary contributions to the field of mathematics and to highlight the importance of mathematical sciences in engineering education.


The program was graced by Dr. V. M. Patil, Principal. Faculty members of the Department of Science and Humanities, namely Mr. S. S. Sadamal, Dr. Anita Wesley, Mrs. Rekha Hebasur ,Dr. Sadiq Sayyed, Mrs. Renuka Abbigeri, Ms. Aishwarya Goudar, and Dr. Jyothi Channadasar, were also present on the occasion.


During the observance, faculty members reflected on the life, achievements, and enduring legacy of Srinivasa Ramanujan, emphasizing his inspirational journey and remarkable contributions to modern mathematics. The program highlighted the role of mathematics as a fundamental discipline supporting scientific research and technological advancement.

The celebration concluded with a collective acknowledgement of the importance of nurturing mathematical thinking and honoring the legacy of great mathematicians within the academic community.
