Orientation Day & student induction programme inauguration ceremony Held at REC Hulkoti

Rural Engineering College, Hulkoti organised the Orientation Day & student induction programme inauguration ceremony for the Academic Year 2026–27 on 19 August 2026. The programme was organised by the Department of Science and Humanities with the objective of welcoming the newly admitted students and introducing them to the academic environment, facilities and opportunities available at the institution.


Dr. V. M. Patil, Administrator, RTE Society, Hulkoti, was the Chief Guest, while Dr. B. N. Patil, Principal, Rural Engineering College, Hulkoti, presided over the programme. The dignitaries highlighted the importance of making the most of the opportunities available during college life, remaining focused on studies and staying informed about developments in their respective fields.


In his address, Dr. V. M. Patil encouraged students to approach their academic journey with commitment, discipline and curiosity. He also highlighted the strengths and facilities of the institution and the extensive alumni network of REC Hulkoti spread across the globe.


Dr. B. N. Patil, in his presidential address, urged students to remain focused on their studies and actively participate in the academic and co-curricular activities of the college. He emphasised that students should make effective use of the facilities provided by the institution and maintain strong connections with the college community and its alumni.


The programme commenced with an invocation by Ms. Tejaswini D. N., 5th Semester Mechanical Engineering student, followed by the welcome speech by Mrs. Renuka A., Assistant Professor and In-charge HOD, Department of Science and Humanities.


Sri. Sachin D. Patil, Secretary, RTE Society, Hulkoti; Dr. V. M. Patil, Administrator; Dr. B. N. Patil, Principal; Mrs. Renuka A., I/C HOD, Science and Humanities; and Mr. Goudappa Hosur, HOD, BCA, were welcomed on the occasion. The dignitaries inaugurated the programme by watering a plant, symbolising growth, learning and a promising beginning for the new batch of students.


The programme also included the introduction of the Chief Guest and other dignitaries by Dr. Aneeta Wesley and Dr. Sadiq Sayyed.


Mrs. Rekha Hebsur anchored the programme, while Mr. Goudappa Hosur, HOD, Department of BCA, proposed the vote of thanks.


Heads of various departments, faculty and staff members, first-year students and their parents attended the programme. The event provided a meaningful platform for the newly admitted students and their parents to familiarise themselves with the institution and marked the beginning of their academic journey at Rural Engineering College, Hulkoti.
