Farewell Party Organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering


The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a "farewell party" for the outgoing students today in the Seminar Hall .The dignitaries present on the dais were Shri Sachin D. Patil, Secretary, RTE Society; Dr. V. M. Patil, Administrator, RTE Society; Dr. B. N. Patil, Principal, REC and Dr. K. H. Odugoudar, Guest of Honour.

The programme began with watering of the plant by the dignitaries.Addressing the students, Shri Sachin D. Patil advised them to remain connected with alumni in order to gain better opportunities, corporate exposure, and professional knowledge. He encouraged the outgoing students to make use of the strong alumni network of the institution, where thousands of alumni are working in reputed positions in India and abroad. He also urged the students to learn Artificial Intelligence and coding along with their core Mechanical Engineering knowledge, as the future of jobs is closely connected with AI-driven technologies.

Dr. K. H. Odugoudar, Guest of Honour, advised the outgoing students to develop confidence, work sincerely, and continue their efforts with dedication to achieve success in their careers.

Dr. V. M. Patil, Administrator, appreciated the students for successfully completing their academic journey as per the VTU syllabus. He highlighted that Mechanical Engineering has vast scope and opportunities, especially when integrated with AI, sensors, software, and modern design technologies. He wished the students successful careers and also announced that a mega alumni meet would be conducted very soon, inviting all students and alumni to actively participate.

Mr. Roylen, an outgoing student, shared his learning experiences, memories, and feelings on behalf of the batch.

Dr. K. R. Gangal, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, recalled the vision of the Founder Chairman in providing quality education to rural students. He stated that Mechanical Engineering is not only about design but also about innovation, problem-solving, team building, and discipline. He wished the outgoing students success in all their future endeavours.

Dr. B. N. Patil, Principal, spoke about the scope of Mechanical Engineering and encouraged students to explore opportunities in AI, coding, electives, internships, and emerging technologies. He wished the students a bright and successful future.

The event was anchored by Miss Tejashwini, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Sohail Hombal. The programme concluded with warm wishes and blessings to the outgoing students
