80th Independence Day Celebrations at REC

The 80th Independence Day of India was celebrated with immense enthusiasm, patriotic fervour and national pride at Rural Engineering College, Hulkoti.The celebration began with the unfurling of the National Flag by Shri Sachin Patil, Secretary, RTE Society. The campus was filled with a strong spirit of patriotism as students, faculty and staff came together to commemorate the historic occasion and honour the sacrifices of the freedom fighters who fought for India’s independence.
In his address, Shri Sachin Patil extended his heartfelt Independence Day greetings to everyone and paid tribute to the great freedom fighters whose courage, sacrifice and dedication secured the nation’s freedom. He also conveyed warm birthday wishes to Dr. H. K. Patil on his 73rd birthday.Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sachin Patil highlighted the importance of freedom, unity, responsibility and nation-building, encouraging the younger generation to contribute meaningfully to the progress of the country. He briefly mentioned the institution’s ongoing development initiatives, including new classrooms, a Digital Library and AI Labs. He also announced that the new classrooms and AI Labs would be inaugurated today at 12 noon by Shri H. K. Patil.
Dr. B. N. Patil, Principal, Rural Engineering College, Hulkoti, extended warm Independence Day greetings to all and remembered the invaluable contributions and sacrifices of the freedom fighters. He also conveyed his heartfelt wishes to Dr. H. K. Patil on his 73rd birthday and reaffirmed the college’s commitment to contributing to the nation through quality education, innovation and excellence. He assured continued efforts towards the vision of becoming a Deemed-to-be University.
Dr. V. M. Patil, Administrator, RTE Society and President of the programme, addressed the gathering and extended his heartfelt Independence Day wishes. He recalled the significance of India's freedom and emphasised the responsibility of every citizen, particularly the younger generation, to uphold the values of unity, democracy, integrity and patriotism. He also conveyed warm birthday wishes to Dr. H. K. Patil and reiterated the institution’s vision for the future.
Also present on the occasion was Shri Ramesh H., GC Member, who graced the Independence Day celebration.The programme was ably anchored by Mr. Punnet Patil and Mr. Praveen Mane, Physical Director.
The celebration served as a proud reminder of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the responsibilities that come with freedom. The patriotic atmosphere at REC Hulkoti reflected the institution’s commitment to nurturing responsible, disciplined and nation-conscious citizens who will contribute to the progress and development of Viksit Bharat.
