77th Republic Day Celebration at REC Hulkoti

The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Rural Engineering College, Hulkoti. The programme was presided over by Dr. V. M. Patil, Principal and President of the event.
The Chief Guest of the occasion was Shri Sachin D. Patil, Secretary, RTE Society. The celebration was graced by eminent guests including Ms. Preeti Honagudi, former Assistant Professor at RL Jalappa College and KLE College, and former Principal of Oxford PU College. Dr. Arvind Patil, Orthopedician, and Mr. Mallikarjun were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Ms. Preeti Honagudi delivered an inspiring speech in which she recalled the words of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam:
“Vision without action is a dream. Action without vision is merely passing time. But vision with action can change the world.”
She emphasized the importance of having a clear roadmap to achieve institutional and national goals and highlighted the vital role of faculty members in strengthening the education system, thereby contributing to nation building.
Later, Shri Sachin D. Patil addressed the gathering and highlighted the infrastructure development works completed and underway on the campus. He mentioned completed projects and ongoing works including the library and classroom buildings. He reiterated the vision of transforming the institution into an autonomous college and eventually a university. He also announced the establishment of new institutions in the current year, namely Spoorti PU Independent College and a BCA College.
In his presidential address, Principal Dr. V. M. Patil assured full support from the faculty towards realizing the vision put forth by the Secretary. He emphasized that along with infrastructure development, academic growth and excellence are equally essential for institutional progress.
The event was organized by Mr. Puneetgouda Patil, NSS Officer, and Mr. Arun, Physical Director of the college.
The Republic Day celebration reinforced the values of unity, responsibility, and dedication among students, faculty, and staff, inspiring all to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development.
