RECKON 1.0: Day 1 of 2-Day Hackathon Successfully Completed at REC Hulkoti

R.T.E Society’s Rural Engineering College (REC), Hulkoti, marked a proud milestone with the successful completion of Day 1 of its first-ever two-day national-level hackathon, RECKON 1.0, organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

The hackathon witnessed enthusiastic participation from 32 teams, including participants from various districts of Karnataka as well as other states, creating a vibrant and competitive atmosphere.

Participants are showcasing their skills across two major domains — Web Development (Full Stack) and Artificial Intelligence. The event features innovative and real-world problem statements, encouraging students to think critically and develop impactful solutions.

The inaugural session was graced by Dr. Manusudhan B S, Director R&D, ADVI Product Design Wings, who emphasized the role of hackathons in solving real-world challenges and enhancing practical knowledge.

Honorable Secretary Shri Sachin D. Patil encouraged students to use technology productively and focus on innovation.Dr. V. M. Patil, Principal, highlighted the importance of participation, learning, and experience beyond winning.

Dr. Sharanabasavaraj Angadi, Head of the Department and Hackathon Coordinator, motivated participants to focus on creativity, teamwork, and building meaningful solutions, especially in domains like agriculture, healthcare, AI, and cloud technologies.

Despite a compact organizing team, the event has been executed smoothly with excellent coordination from staff, student coordinators, and volunteers.

RECKON 1.0 has already set a strong foundation and marked a significant milestone for the institution. The management, especially the Secretary and Principal, were acknowledged for their continuous support.

The successful completion of Day 1 has set an energetic tone for Day 2, with participants continuing to innovate with great enthusiasm.
