Placement Orientation Program for Parents and Students

Rural Engineering College, Hulkoti, successfully organized a Placement Orientation Program (Parent–Teacher Meeting) for the parents and students of VII Semester from the Departments of Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Textile Technology.

The programme aimed to create awareness among parents and students about the importance of placement training, career readiness, emerging technologies, and entrepreneurship in today's highly competitive professional environment.

The programme was inaugurated by Shri Sachin D. Patil, Hon. Secretary, RTE Society, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring address, he emphasized the need for students to continuously acquire advanced technological skills to remain relevant in the evolving industrial landscape. He encouraged students to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset alongside career aspirations and urged parents to actively motivate their children to participate sincerely in the placement training initiatives conducted by the institution.

Dr. V. M. Patil, Administrator, RTE Society, addressed the gathering and highlighted the vital role of parents in supporting their children's career development. He requested parents to ensure regular attendance in placement training programmes, emphasizing that strong collaboration between parents and the institution is essential for students' professional success.

The keynote session was delivered by Mr. Arasu M. T., Founder & CEO, Clicks Talent Connect Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, who shared valuable insights into the current recruitment landscape and industry expectations. He stressed that employers seek graduates with a positive attitude, effective communication skills, technical competence, and a commitment to continuous learning. He also emphasized the significant role of parents and teachers in building students' confidence and encouraged students to apply for every suitable job opportunity and attend interviews without hesitation, as consistent participation enhances employability.

Presiding over the programme, Dr. B. N. Patil, Principal, Rural Engineering College, Hulkoti, urged parents to work closely with the institution in shaping the future of their children. He emphasized that consistent participation in placement training, aptitude development, technical skill enhancement, and interview preparation would significantly improve students' career prospects and placement success.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from parents, students, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and staff. The orientation served as an effective platform to strengthen the partnership between the institution and parents, reaffirming their shared commitment to preparing students for successful careers in the ever-evolving global job market.
