INNOVA 2026 – Annual Social Gathering

The Annual Social Gathering INNOVA 2026 was held on 30th April 2026 at Pt. Bhimsen Joshi Ranga Mandira, Gadag, celebrating student achievements, talent, and institutional excellence.

Students presented vibrant cultural performances with great enthusiasm, filling the auditorium with a joyful and lively ambiance.

The event began with a welcome address by Dr. Suganda Pendum. A grand Prize Distribution Ceremony followed, where Fahren Mulla was awarded Best Student of the Year. Faculty members Prof. Rekha Hebasur and Prof. Vidyavati Mallaraddi were honored for completing their Ph.D. degrees.VTU rank holders were felicitated: Abhishek Bhavi, Netravati Y, and Sneha Shalavadi. Chandrakant Vaddatti was recognized for winning a state-level bronze medal.

During the address, Sri Sachin D. Patil highlighted the rapid shift in technology and emphasized students’ adaptability and the importance of a multidisciplinary approach. He also announced MoUs with AI-focused organizations such as IBX, VIT, and Advigroup, and assured free VIT licenses for students to learn AI tools. He further shared developments including the introduction of Spoorthi PU Independent College and a BCA College on campus.

While addressing the gathering, Sri Rohan Jagadeesh advised students to keep pace with emerging AI tools in response to the exponential changes in job trends. He encouraged them to explore new career opportunities and to never be discouraged by failure, emphasizing that failure is not the end but a stepping stone to success.

In his address, Dr. Prasad B. Rampure appreciated the active involvement of students in sports, cultural events, inter-collegiate competitions, and in-house hackathons. He also highlighted the crucial role of faculty in shaping institutional success and student growth, and assured his continued support to the college.

The Annual Report was presented by Prof. S. H. Angadi, and alumni messages were read by Mr. Suresh Sadamal. In his presidential remarks, Dr. V. M. Patil congratulated all achievers in sports, cultural events, and competitions. He thanked the staff for their guidance and support, and encouraged students to utilize opportunities to showcase their potential..

The event was anchored by Miss Srusti, Miss Tejashwini, and Miss Sheetal, with the cultural program hosted by Mr. Chetan Bellary and Miss Shaziya. Students showcased vibrant cultural performances, along with a special song by Mr. Satish.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Sahil Irani, followed by the musical finale Sangeeta Saragama, leaving the audience enthralled.
